Connecting - Day 10 for J and K

It is hard to beleive that it is already DAY 10 for Teams J and K!

The participants have been exploring options, ideas, and forging new relationships. On Day 10, I suggest a focus on connecting with people. Here is a portion of the email I sent Teams J and K:

The Theme for Day 10 is Connecting

Starting with Day 1, you have been approaching and getting to know new people and have been reacquainting yourself with contacts that you have not talked to in a while (you have, haven’t you? :-).

Today is a day to focus on networking. There are several great sources for how to network and build relationships. One of the hottest is Keith Ferrazzi’s blog, Never Eat Alone. For those of you who struggle with the important role of building relationships, you might want to pick up a copy of the book (it’s a great resource for anyone, really).

Well, I didn't eat alone today and it paid off nicely. Had lunch (inviting her was one of my requests) with someone whose brain I wanted to pick and she gave me 2 more contacts that may prove to be valuable to helping me reach my goal.
