Procrastination gets in the way of our best laid plans (and breakthroughs). Bert, over at Open Loops, points us to a quiz on the Psychology Today website we can take to see how bad our procrastination is.
I scored a 37 out off 100, which they say is pretty good. I am shocked because I regard myself as struggling with procrastination. The basic quiz score is free.
Check it out and report back with your scores.
I got a 35 and I am a terrible procrastinator! I wonder about the accuracy of this test.
The only times I don't procrastinate is when it's a) easy and fun (like this) or b)life & death (and taxes).

Hmmm...I wonder if we think we are procastinating more than we are? Perhaps in the procastination scheme of things, we are quite proactive! Maybe everyone procrastinates and we are lesser procrastinators! I like the sound of that.

I started to take the quiz... then felt like I didn't have the time. I'm a fairly decent procrastinator - although that rarely means I'm sitting around doing nothing on my priority list.
I wonder what score I get for not finishing...

Mark:
Hmmm...great question - does that make you more or less a procrastinator? I guess it depends on your focus.

31. The test wasn't at all what I thought it would be. Neither good nor bad. Just different.

Another non-procrastinator!

I went there, but couldn't bring myself to start. What does that say about me? ;-)

Hmmmm...that might be worthy of another Psychology Today article, Curt!

Damn, 34, I though I procrastinate rather often. Seems like I'm not that bad. But I think it's kinda low, I'm wondering the profile of people with high score.

Hmmm...I am beginning to wonder about this survey since several of us did not do too bad but think we procrastinate a lot. Maybe it is a reverse psychology trick and they give people low scores in hopes that people will actually procrastinate less. If reality is socially constructed, then if we think we do not procrastiante, maybe we won't.

I got a 26. I didn't even want to take the test anymore because some of the questions were so long I got bored. I procrastinate with school work more often than I'd like.
