You see, I made a lot of unreasonable requests and too many of them turned into great projects! I over-extended myself a bit and now I need to deliver. It is all good, because I know that I CAN deliver great work, but I have to focus more than ever.
Many optional or less time sensitive projects have been put on hold or slowed down a bit. And things like this blog have been set aside.
At first, I was overwhelmed. But recently I have been chunking my work up, and this have been working well. I apportion half days or full days to projects - no more multi-tasking.
I just finished a boss's day project that I will tell you about soon. I am 2/3 done with a book I am writing about coaching. I am 1/2 done creating an 8 hour course for middle managers that I am presenting in mid-October. The research for my Focus Like a Laser Beam book, due mid-November, is progressing well and I am pretty much on target with my plan. I have just begun planning for a 3 hour presentation for 400 Thai government managers for mid-November. And the smaller things are getting done hear and there.
I guess you could say that I have experienced a breakthrough in managing and completing many important projects. I feel pressure, but I also believe in my plan. It does not allow for much in the way of mishaps, though, so I have my fingers crossed.
Anyway - in case you have wondered where I was, let's call this my Fall hiatus! I am still on target to offer 2 Weeks to a Breakthrough in January (great time of year, don't you think?).
