Are you ready for 2006?

Take some time during this last week of 2005 to answer the following questions:

• What would a home run look like in 2006? What about a grand slam?
• Finish this thought: "I really want to _____."
• In what areas of your life do you most need a breakthrough in results?
• How can you best contribute to your family and company?
• What fuels your passion?

I'm ready for the new year. I am looking forward to working on several new and reinvented projects. Yes, January 1 is just a day, but I think we should take advantage of the opportunity to reinvent ourselves and this is a great time of year to do that. Here's a few of the projects on which I will focus.

I am looking forward to working with some really neat people during the 2 Weeks to a Breakthrough program starting January 9th.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into the book version of 2 Weeks to a Breakthrough. I am going to re-imagine what a book can be and create from there.

I am looking forward to seeing Focus Like a Laser Beam in print and I might have a cool announcement about this project soon. I really like the way the book is turning out.

I signed on to begin volunteering at Dress for Success. I will be working with women during monthly sessions to help them ace job interviews. I am looking forward to helping these motivated ladies.

Chile Pepper High: New Mexico's Journal of Discovery will launch early in the year. This is a project close to my heart and I can't wait to focus more attention on the land that enchants me. Just to give you an idea, for Christmas, we had blue corn posole, tamales with red chile, and then huevos rancheros for breakfast on Christmas day. Maybe when I get hired to help Branson build his organization at the New Mexico Spaceport (Virgin Galactic) I will be able to enjoy green and red chile every day. (fingers crossed!!!) By the way, if any of you know anyone in Branson's organization, can you hook me up?

A few more things are in the works...Overall, my focus for the year will be on catalyzing breakthroughs and jacking up the number of people I help.

Each year can be our best. We have the opportunity and responsibility to generate it and shape what it will look like. How will you design your year?
