Breakthroughs don't generally come when we do the same things in the same ways. I've written a lot about this and often encourage people to try new methods. I need to take my own advice and guidance!
One challenge: I don't know what I don't know..... SO
I'm looking for a few great ideas and I am willing to pay for their implementation.
The Two Weeks to a Breakthrough book comes out in the U.S. at the end of February. This is a unique book and I am eager for it to do well. That said, I would be a fool to think that if I approached it in the "same ole same ole" way, that anything amazing will happen.
Perhaps you would like to partner with me? I am accepting 1-2 page proposals for book PR/marketing projects. These can be small or large projects. In the 1-2 pages, I would like you to define the idea, how you think this idea will produce book sales, and a budget for the project. I will review the proposals and I'd love to take on several.
This is a way you can play an active role in spreading the breakthrough "gospel," and make some money. WIN-WIN!
I am open to hearing off the wall ideas, traditional ideas done a new way, or anything in between. Please share this opportunity with people who you think might be interested in it. Although the offer is open to anyone in the world, I need to focus first on US book sales (although I would welcome hearing foreign sales ideas too).
The goal: Sell books. I don't care where the sales come from (Amazon, BN, direct from publisher, my supply).
Time frame: I would love it if the targeted time for the promotion to was early to mid March.
Budget: The project needs to offer a good return. I don't want to spend $100 to get 3 sales or $2,000 to get 25 sales. It's got to make some financial sense.
Other than that, no limitations except being good business practice. I won't entertain any slimy marketing tactics or projects that feel dishonest.
Email your project plans to me at lhaneberg AT gmail DOT com. You have my word that I will not steal your ideas. If your project plan is good, I will offer the project contract to you. Just know that my publisher and I already have a few traditional activities going on like getting galleys out to media, seeking some reviews, and writing a few articles in magazines.
I would entertain creative/different ideas for ads, email campaigns, affiliate stuff, and all kinds of other stuff (I do have some ads and email planned, but not a lot).
And I am totally open to plans that allow you to make more money if your idea is wildly successful.
I can't wait to hear your ideas!
