I am in Frederick, Maryland and officially hit the 5,000 mile mark of the trip - woo-hoo! I had a great weekend in North Carolina and Virginia connecting with family and friends. As I was riding to Frederick, I enjoyed the lovely lush mountains and cool fragrant air.
I thought a lot about my conversations over the weekend. People are so interesting, always up to something, always learning.
My older brother Mike is making gorgeous exotic wood pens. This is in addition to his day job and he may soon start selling them online. They will make great corporate gifts or gifts for writers. He let me take my pick of his current collection. Here's the one I chose. Beautiful Zebra wood and a nice smooth gel writer. Thanks Mike!
My sister-in-law Linda is making glass beads and sterling silver jewelery - also in addition to her day job. She is trying a lot of new techniques and her creations are very cool.
My friend Johna has written a children's book for parents and children involved in foreign adoption. She is giving all the proceeds to an oversees orphanage where she adopted a wonderful son. She needs an illustrator and then will publish it. This project is in addition to her day job.
Interesting! Do you have a pet project like one of these? These types of initiatives are perfect for the Two Weeks to a Breakthrough process. You need to keep the momentum going with small actions that make a big difference. Also, there is so much to gain from sharing these goals and enrolling others in the process.
