My Two Weeks to a Breakthrough book is being published by Jossey Bass (my second with them). When I turned in the manuscript I asked that they consider putting a butterfly on the cover because I refer to the butterfly effect and flapping wings throughout the book.

Butterfly on a business book about breakthroughs?

I can only imagine the eyes that must have rolled when they read my request. As a still newish business author, I should not expect to have a lot of influence when it comes to these things.

But they did it! This is so cool. They put a butterfly on the cover. The book is not coming out until early next year, but here is a sneek peek of the cover. Do you like it?

Anomalies, Paradigms, and Breakthroughs

Here is a great post on the Tom Peters blog called Relating to Anomalies. It references a book called The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas Kuhn. This is a classic book that we all should have on our shelf or checked out from the library. I love this quote from the post:

"When we can't make anomalies conform to our current mindset, they can lead us to the "reconstruction of prior theory," an intrinsically revolutionary process."
