State of the Business Book Market

I know several of you, like me, are business book authors. I ran across this article in the Financial Times that talks about the state of the business book market and thought you might be interested. Our own Jack Covert was interviewed for the piece!

Overall, it says that people like me (non-name-brand) authors are going to have to be EXTRA original and will have a much tougher road to hoe. The trend right now is for people to buy the classics and books by the big guys (almost all ARE guys). Parables are still hot, too (I've been thinking about trying one of these, but the thought seems daunting!).

It's an interesting article. Sobering, but interesting.

So my brain is turning..........how to become a name brand.........gotta do something extrordinary..... or many something extraordinaries....... I'm up to the challenge....
