Business Link-a-palooza
While I was out of town, the following interesting posts came across my feed reader (actually I had more than 500 waiting for me, these are just a few I found particularly interesting).
First up is a post from Creating Passionate Users called Ten Tips for New Trainers/Teachers. I would extend many of these to include managers who coach others. Kathy also offers a great list of links for more information.
Bert over at Open Loops offers this post called Do What You are Paid To Do. I think this is an excellent thing to think about. For example, what are managers paid to do? I think they are paid to make a positive difference every day, remove barriers, develop organizational capacity, and produce optimal results - to make a difference that would not occur without them (read - not the busy maintaining type work).
Steve Pavlina offers this post, How to Get From a 7 to a 10 that I love. Here's my favorite quote: "If you think you’re at a 7, you’re really at a 3 maximum."
Check out Bren's book review of The Lazy Way to Success. Bren does a good job of helping his (and now my) readers decide if the book is for them.
Enjoy these juicy bits of insight!
