Yippee, and it's about time! Another great book for middle managers written by a former middle manager - Chat with Vince Thompson

In this 21 minute podcast, I speak to Vince Thompson, Managing Partner of Middleshift, a boutique consulting firm, and author of the new management book, Ignited: Managers Light Up Your Company and Career. In his former life, Vince was a successful middle manager at AOL and other companies, so he is the real deal and knows what it is like to be the guy with multiple targets painted on his back and arrows coming from all directions (some tipped with nerve numbing poison).

As you can imagine, I was quite thrilled to see Vince's new book because it addresses the special needs of middle managers - something near and dear to my heart and much needed. We discuss key skills middle managers need today and the trends on the growth of the middle management function - that's right, growth. Vince shares several tips for how to be successful and impactful from the middle.
