Kindle - Day 3 and a Funny Piece about Meetings
I gave you my first impressions about my new Kindle a couple days ago here. A couple more thoughts:
I love the sampling feature - before I buy a book, I can download a sample, usually the first chapter or two. This is great for checking out authors I have not read before. I was looking for a good fiction book and downloaded three samples before I found one I liked and bought. The sample delivers in just a few seconds. And when reading the sample, I can click once to select to buy this book and it delivers instantly (I don't need to go back out to the store screen, find the book, and buy it).
I have started using the "clipping" feature. If I find something I want to refer to later, I can save the page as a clipping and it goes into my clippings folder. For example, I read this very funny piece in The Onion and wanted to share it on the blog, so I clipped the page so I could easily refer to and blog about it.
The piece is called: These Time-Management Issues Will Be Easily Resolved With A Series Of Streamlined Meetings, and it is very, very funny (in a tragic almost true kind of way). Check it out.
Oh, and Joe from Kindleville (a blog about the Kindle) interviewed me for his blog. Check out his questions and my responses here.
